One of the earliest formal explorations of color theory came from an unlikely source - the German poet, artist, and politician Johann Wolfgang von Goethe (August 28, 1749–March 22, 1832), who in 1810 published Theory of Colors ( public library | public domain), his treatise on the nature, function, and psychology of colors. In addition to his work with Hope 4 Hurting Kids, Wayne is a partner in a local consulting firm, an avid reader, coaches his son's soccer team and is a proud supporter of Leicester City Football Club (and yes, for those in know, his affinity for the club does predate the 2016 championship).Color is an essential part of how we experience the world, both biologically and culturally.
